Which carpets can I use my vacuum on?

You can use a vacuum on any type of carpet, however the method you use will vary. For example, twist carpets with a thick pile should not be vacuumed using a high-powered machine as this can weaken and even pull out fibres. Also, when consider natural carpets like seagrass and coir it is best not to use a ‘beater bar’ as this can damage the material. Additionally, natural carpet requires more regular vacuuming than traditional pile carpet; twice a week is generally recommended.
