Can I use carpet in a cold conservatory/basement?

If you are thinking of using carpet in a basement area then we would advise using a carpet with a low pile height, as a thick pile carpet will take much longer to dry in the event that it becomes damp. Also, polypropylene carpets resist moisture more effectively than natural fibres - we would not recommend using floorcoverings like seagrass and sisal in these areas.
